The museum is housed in a beautiful baroque building

MADe is the “Museu do Artesanato e Design” (Crafts and Design Museum), created in 2011 where there was once a museum of regional handicrafts.
It now also has a collection of industrial design from the 20th century, together with examples of local tapestries and pieces of cork, wood, and pottery created by the region’s artisans.
It’s located next to São Francisco Convent and the Bones Chapel.
